Dada la escasa diferencia que dan las encuestas entre los dos grandes partidos —2,7 puntos según el CIS publicado este jueves—, esa baja participación hará que la victoria se juegue en un puñado de votos. Si participara el 50% de los 35.510.837 llamados a las urnas, algo optimista, esos 2,7 puntos que el CIS marca a favor del PP supondrían solo 480.000 votos. Ahí es donde se dirime este gran pulso entre Mariano Rajoy y Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba a mitad de legislatura, y la campaña puede ser clave.
